She was born in Athens and studied advanced music theory, Byzantine music and piano, while receiving santur instruction from Tassos Diakogiorgis. From 1998 she worked as a musician, collaborating with traditional, art-music and contemporary ensembles, as well as with prominent artists in Greece and abroad. She was a member of the Mikis Theodorakis Orchestra and a long-time collaborator of Domna Samiou.
In 2010 she settled in Paris, where she worked as a conductor, arranger and soloist. She taught at the Department of Folk and Traditional Music (TEI of Epirus), the Department of Music Studies at the University of Macedonia, the National Conservatoire, the Philharmonie de Paris, and in international masterclasses.
In parallel, she developed a body of compositions inspired by oral tradition, with commissions from institutions such as the Philharmonie de Paris, the International Centre for Nomadic Music, and the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation. In 2021 she completed a PhD at Paris VIII University on Piraeus rebetiko and its makam-based influences.
