Evgenios Voulgaris

Holder of a diploma in Byzantine music, he has been professionally engaged with the oud and traditional music since 1992. He initially studied under Christos Tsiamoulis and later took lessons from Fahrettin Çimenli in yağlı tambur, maqam interpretation, and improvisation.

He has participated in concerts and recordings with numerous musicians. In 1995, he began collaborating with Manos Hadjidakis’ Orchestra of Colors, playing mandolin and bouzouki, and has also performed with the Camerata Orchestra and the Athens State Orchestra.

He has taught at the School of Greek Music of the Municipal Conservatory of Patras, at music schools and workshops, as well as at the Department of Folk and Traditional Music of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus. He has also set literary works to music and composed music for theatrical productions.
