Σόλο σαντούρι
The santur is a struck-string instrument, descended from the ancient psaltery, from which its name derives — pisandir among the Arabs, sandour among the Syrians.
It consists of a trapezoidal soundboard, made of wood and of varying sizes. Its strings, stretched parallel to the bases, span three or four octaves in semitones and are struck with two slender sticks, whose ends are covered with a pad of cotton or leather.
