Studio recording (1986). Based on Domna Samiou’s 1965 field recording of the song in Agiassos, Lesvos, sung by a group of amateur actors. According to the informants, the song originates from the village of Demircili, near Urla, Turkey. The original recording is included in the collection Ethnologie Vivante: Grèce (1970).
