πέντε δέκα παπαδιές κι άλλες τόσες καλογριές
πάησαν να ψαρέψουνε και να κολυμπήσουνε
βγάζουν τα ρασάκια τους και τα σωβρακάκια τους.
Να, κι ένας καλόγερος πίσω από τον πλάτανο
παίρνει τα ρασάκια τους και τα σωβρακάκια τους.
«Στο Θεό σ’, καλόγερε, δώσ’ μας τα ρασάκια μας
και τα σωβρακάκια μας
κι όποια θέλεις από μας πάρε απόψε στον οντά σ’».
«Στο Θεό σ’, καλόγερε, τι είν’ η τέτοια σ’ κόκκινη;».
«Μπογιατζήδες έβαφαν, πέρασα κι εγώ από κει
και μ’ τη βάψαν στην κουρφή».
