He was born in 1973 in Athens and grew up in Aigio, where he began playing the kanun at the age of 18. In 1992, he returned to Athens for further studies, and from 1995 he began his professional career, collaborating with leading Greek artists such as Chronis Aidonidis, Nikos Xydakis, Domna Samiou, Evanthia Reboutsika, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, George Dalaras, and others, performing in concerts in Greece and abroad.
He participated in the recording of Loreena McKennitt’s album “An Ancient Muse” and in her performances in Granada, Spain. He performs with the ensembles «Takim» and «Qua’SH».
He has worked as a kanun instructor at the National Conservatoire, the Athens Conservatoire, and the Department of Folk and Traditional Music at the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus.
