Joanna Andrews

(1955-2015). Joanna Andrews was born in 1955 in New York and died on 29/12/2015 in Switzerland. She was the daughter of writer, scholar, poet and philhellene Kevin Andrews, who collaborated with Domna Samiou.

She studied the oud in London and Egypt. Apart from Domna Samiou, she worked with Ross Daly, Psarantonis, Eleftheria Arvanitaki and others. Her repertoire included traditional and original compositions of Eastern music.
