Joanna Andrews

(1955–2015) | She was born in 1955 in New York and passed away on 29 December 2015, in Switzerland. She was the daughter of the philhellene scholar, author, and poet Kevin Andrews, a collaborator of Domna Samiou.

She studied the oud in London and Egypt. In addition to her work with Domna Samiou, she collaborated with Ross Daly, Psarantonis, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, and others. Her repertoire included traditional and original compositions of Eastern music.
