Ήλιε μ’, και τι πολάργιασες κι αργείς να βασιλέψεις,
σι βλαστημάει η αργατιά κι οι ξενοδουλευτάδες,
σι βλαστημούν κι τα μουρά στις κούνιες κρεμασμένα.
It belongs to the category of workers’ songs. In certain parts of Macedonia, the peasants sing it at dusk as they return from their fields.

Studio recording (1960s). Released on a 45 rpm disc (Philips 8433, 1961), supervised by Domna Samiou (Recordings on 45 RPM). In 1976, it was included in the LP By the Flowering Oleander (ΕΜΙ Columbia, 2J 062-70253, 1976). Based on Domna Samiou’s 1964 field recording of the song in Drymos, Thessaloniki, sung by Evangeli Kourta and Panagiota Traka, in 1964.
