Γκάιντα
A tune and dance known as Gaida, popular throughout Macedonia with slight variations from place to place. The tune is typically played on the gaida (bagpipe), which is how it got its name. When performed with other instruments, such as the clarinet, the clarinet imitates the sound of the gaida.
Studio recording (1963). Released on an 45 rpm disc (Fidelity 7306, 1964), supervised by Domna Samiou (Recordings in 45 RPM). In 2008, Yiorgos Tsambras included the track in the CD collection Mousiko Odiporiko 1959-1969 (Universal Music, 2008).
