(1932-2006). He was born in Gergeri, in the Heraklion prefecture of Crete. He was a self-taught lyra-player and father of the lyra-player Manolis Peristeris.
He moved to Athens in 1962, where he played at various Cretan clubs and worked with dance troupes. In 1974, he created his own music venue, “To Kastro”, where he played until his death.
