(1932–2006) | Born in the village of Gergeri, Heraklion, Crete, he was a self-taught lyra player and the father of lyra player Manolis Peristeris.
He settled in Athens in 1962, performed in various Cretan music venues, and collaborated with dance ensembles. In 1974, he established his own Cretan music venue, where he continued to perform until his death.
