A resident of the village of Agios Dimitrios in Southern Euboea, he was a lyra player and singer of traditional songs. Domna Samiou met him in 1976 —when he was 87 years old— and recorded him performing songs such as A Nun With Child, A Fair Maid Did Sing, among others. He belonged to the well-known “Krisilias family”, which kept alive the musical tradition of Karystos and Agios Dimitrios.
