Laouto (lute) player from the village of Plaka, Apokoronas, Chania, born into a family with a strong musical tradition. His father, Frangios Papadakis, was a lute player and brother of the renowned lyra player Michalis Papadakis, also known as “Plakianos”. His sister, Aspasia Papadaki, was the first female lyra player in Crete.
