Born in the village of Galatini, Kozani. A secondary education teacher, researcher, and scholar of Greek traditional music. He studied the art of the clarinet under local musicians and renowned virtuosos, including Vangelis Soukas, Thanassis Chaliyannis, and Tassos Chalkias.
He participated as a clarinetist in recordings and instrumental pieces of traditional songs and led musical ensembles that promote the Greek folk music tradition.
