Byzantine Choir “Kalophonarides”

The Byzantine Choir “Kalofonarides” was founded by Yiorgos Remoundos and consisted of approximately twenty members. It participated in numerous events, both within and outside Athens, as well as in radio and television broadcasts of the national broadcasting service.

The choir presented its work through four recordings of ecclesiastical hymns between 1997 and 2007.

The choir included the following members: Nikolaos Andrikos, Anastasios Bokos, Xenofon Bokos, Nikolaos Chaldaeakis, Yeorgios Dokos, Ioannis Gezerlis, Dimitrios Kalliakmanis, Yeorgios Karapgyllis, Efstathios Koudounelis, Konstantinos Kouremenos, Thomas Kravaritis, Nikolaos Lazaropoulos (deacon), Nikolaos Loukas, Dimitrios Mantzouris, Iordanis Mantzouris, Michail Mantzouris, Nikolaos Mantzouris, Panteleimon Mantzouris, Panayiotis Mathos, Father Theodoros Papayannis, Ioannis Pileri, Panayotis Sengos, Charalambos Trasanis.
