Anna Tsiklitari

Born in 1898 in Sýlata, Cappadokia, Asia Minor. She attended only four classes in the primary school. Her father kept a shop in Constantinople. After the Population Exchange she moved to Tambouria (Piraeus) and got married to a man from Locris.

The Tale Of St. Alexios

  • Ιστορία του Αλεξίου ⬥ Transcription of the original 78 rpm recording of 1930 by Melpo Merlier. In Cappadocia, Lent was a period of severe and strict fasting and praying during which people abstained from parties and festivities, as well as from dancing and singing.
