Παϊντούσκα
In Thrace, and among refugees from Pontus now living mainly in Greek Macedonia —as well as among other Balkan peoples— the long vertical flute (flogera), made of three pieces and about one meter in length, is called gavala, gaval, or kaval. In other parts of Greece, the same instrument is known as the tzamara.
The toumbeleki (goblet drum) is a ceramic, vase-shaped drum that is particularly popular in northern Greece and in some islands, such as Mytilene. It is typically held under the left arm and played with both hands.
The Paidoushka (or Baidoushka) is a lively Thracian dance in 5/16 meter, also widespread in other Balkan countries, especially Bulgaria.
