Young Folk Music Bands’ Festivals

A dream of Domna Samiou comes true. The Domna Samiou Greek Folk Music Association, in collaboration with other institutions  organizes the Young Folk Music Bands’ Festivals.

In these festivals, young musicians and singers who are inspired by the personality of Domna Samiou and the precious treasure she left as a legacy, experiment by transferring the sounds and values of tradition to the present.

• The first meeting was held on October 21 & 22, 2017 at Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall.
• The second was held in collaboration with the SNFCC on September 28 & 29, 2019 at the Xefoto square with free admission.
• The third was held in collaboration with the SNFCC on October 16 & 17, 2021 at the Tholos stage.
• The fourth was held on April 6 & 7, 2024, at the Technopolis City of Athens with free admission.
