Stavros Kapsalis

(1945–2019) | Clarinet virtuoso from Zitsa, Ioannina, born into a family of musicians. He began playing at the age of 12, and his repertoire included mainly Epirus songs, as well as Roumeliotika and Moraïtika songs. Regarded as a “master” of the clarinet by the local music community, he participated in hundreds of recordings, collaborating with leading singers and musicians from Epirus. He performed in traditional music venues, concerts, and events, leaving a significant mark on the musical tradition of Epirus.
