Kostas Pitsios

Born in 1946 in Lidoriki, Phocis. A musician on the laouto (lute), clarinet, and guitar, he specialized in Rumeli, island, and Epirus traditional repertoires. Regarded as one of the most important guitarists of the Greek folk songs, known for his distinct personal sound and his significant contribution to the arrangement and recording of traditional music. He collaborated with many leading musicians and singers and took part in numerous recordings, while a large part of his discography includes his own compositions and arrangements.
