Manolis Peristeris

(1964–2005) | Lyra player. He came from the village of Gergeri, in Heraklion, Crete, and learned to play the lyra from his father, Antonis Peristeris.

He had been playing the lyra since the age of 11. He participated in radio and television broadcasts, recorded albums of Cretan music, and performed at weddings and festivals in Crete and Athens, as well as in concerts in Greece and abroad.
