Born in London in 1951, with family origins from Oinousses, Chios.
Chairman of Paralos Maritime Corporation S.A. He served as Vice President of the Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS) from 1991 to 1997 and as its President from 1997 to 2003. He represents the UGS on the Board of the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA), serving as Vice President from 1991 to 1993 and as President from 1993 to 1995.
Founding member of the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA), serving as a board member for many years. Member of the Hellenic Society for the Protection of the Environment and Cultural Heritage since its foundation, also serving on its board for several years.
Supporter of Domna Samiou’s work and member of the Domna Samiou Greek Folk Music Association.
